Several people have asked me the famous ~~gif tutorial~~ in English, so… I’ll help the vast majority who don’t speak portuguese. ^_^

Ok, you have photoshop, right? The first step is this, and if you haven’t, you can download the latest version try here [click to download], and yeah, it is not necessary serial number or pay for it.
and also you need a program that converts videos to .MOV. For this: Sony Vegas Pro OR Format Factory [click to download] I’m sorry but I don’t have the link for Sony Vegas, but this program is also good n___n’ and it’s easier to handle.
QuickTime Player [click to download] erm usually those who have Itunes already has QuickTime, but anyway…

now just open photoshop: FILE > IMPORT > VIDEO FRAMES TO LAYERS… look the video that you converted to .MOV and click LOAD.

Check the “Selected Range Only” and after that also check LIMIT TO EVERY, and then just put how many frames you want to (I put 2 or 3, usually).
Press PLAY, then press SHIFT in the part of the video you want to make your .gif (the full video will never load, it depends on the size of your video, so you HAVE to do this.) > then OK.
Go to WINDOW. You’ll see that the option “ANIMATION” is unchecked. Click to select it:

Will appear a sequence. (those FRAMES that I said earlier helped you, there are few LAYERS in the box animation :) and how you know, NOW TUMBLR ALLOW GIFS IN SIZE 500k \O/
The first layer will be selected. Press SHIFT and select the other layers. After you can change the movement time just clicking a small arrow (an inverted triangle on the side of 0.04 sec.)

^ now you can edit to your liking. Curves, Brightness, Contrast, blahblahblah… btw, click on the LEFT tool highlighted.

_ the layers appear in this box, how you see. If you want to delete some layers just click on the tool TRASH. [the RIGHT tool highlighted above ^] I confess, this has helped me A LOT, seriously ^_^ just beware, after deleting one of the layers, the same disappears in the animation bar. Delete it with the “trash” that’s on the right, under the animation bar.
_ want to reduce the size of your .gif? Go to Image > Image Size at the top. You can select “Constrain proportions” or not. =]

_ if you want to cut a certain part of your .gif, press C or click here:

File > Save for web & Devices… [or just Alt+Shift+Ctrl+S]
You can delete some colors, or layers, or put it in black and white… btw… for the size doesn’t get to 1000k [the new limit] [p.s: 999,……..k = 1000M]

Check that the gif is moving and always keep “forever” to move continuously.
> SAVE and voila ~~~~~~
